Download our free app from iTunes or Google Play, enter in the model number for your Grundig radio, and then click on any of the functions you wish to unlock (you can pick more than one if you so choose). Once you've done that, just click on "Verify" and you'll be good to go!
An external antenna will work well when the Grundig radio does not. An external antenna can be bought in most electronics shops and there are many different ones available. Again, you do not need to use an external antenna if your Grundig radio has a built in antenna. To change the channel on Grundig radios: 1. Let the radio warm up for a few minutes in order to clear out any static buildup in the transmitter. 2. Press and hold down both microphone button (red) and data button (green). The window should display "open". 3. Press and hold down both microphone button (red) and data button (green). The window should display "CH". 4. Enter the number of the desired channel by entering the number in the window on the screen. 5. Release all buttons, but keep holding down both mic/data buttons or "open" will be displayed instead of the channel number. On some radios, pressing other buttons while doing this sequence will either de-activate (return to normal operation) or cause other problems. 6. The channel should change. If not, try again. 7. When you are satisfied with the new channel, press the microphone button momentarily to return to normal operation. To prevent static buildup in Grundig radios with built in antennas: 1. Identify the antenna wire on the back of your Grundig radio. 2. Connect an external wire antenna with a 1/8" plug into this hole, then hang it outside your home or at least away from walls or cabinets that would cause static buildup or block the signal desired by the radio operator. 3. Check to see that the antenna wire is adequately supported by the external antenna. 4. When you are satisfied with the external antenna, cut off the old antenna wire. 5. On some Grundig radios, if you push back on the microphone button while turning on the radio, you will hear a beep indicating that none of the buttons are being pressed or released at this time. This is to prevent static buildup during radio reception due to interference from other electronics in your home/office/car/etc.
